Prière, Op. 20 is one of the six great organ pieces from Franck’s second musical period, bearing its opus number 20. As a book notes, this work holds a significant place within that collection. The Prière in C sharp, specifically, approximates to first-movement form, a structural detail also highlighted in the same book.
