From the period sources

Ernst Hans Fährmann, a noted Saxon organist born near Lommatzsch in 1860, trained with C. A. Fischer, Scholtz, and Nicodé, according to The New Encyclopedia of Music and Musicians (1924). His career saw him active in Dresden, where he served at the Johanniskirche from 1890 and became a professor at the Conservatory the following year. Between 1892 and 1903, Fährmann regularly gave organ-recitals. His compositions include an organ-concerto, eleven large organ-sonatas, and other works for the instrument, alongside a symphony, a string-quartet, two piano-trios, a piano-sonata, and many songs. In 1889, Fährmann married the alto Julie Bachi.
